BOAT: For guests who wish to explore Mawgan creek and its tributaries, our sturdy 3.5M length rowing dinghy is provided in the rent.

  • Private foreshore
  • Jetty
  • Boat is suitable for up to four persons
  • Moored on a running line
  • Life jackets in many sizes provided
  • Crabbing lines & bucket
  • Fishing for Grey Mullet, Sea Bream and Sea Bass plus flat fish from foreshore
  • Storage space for kayaks, canoes, paddle boards
  • Boat is available, subject to the weather and tides, from Easter until late October.

Access to the boat may be unsuitable for some. However, we have made it easier by building some steps in the garden before a steep grassed slope which then leads by a few stone steps (with roped rail), and to the large wooden landing/jetty.  To reach Peggy you will need to descend further to the foreshore; a solid handrail is provided and she is moored to a post fixed to a running line and is accessible for use at high tide.

The foreshore is muddy and not advisable for walking.  We do suggest wellington boots are worn. Use of the jetty and boat are at your own risk.

We provide a tide table and generally the creek has 3+ hours of water either side of high tide, and except for a small inaccessible channel, it drains completely.
